My quest for understanding human behavior began nearly 20 years ago. My therapeutic style is dependent upon the Jungian belief that the client holds the secrets and resources to their own psychological balance and psychic expansion. My primary goal as a counselor is to act as facilitator or guide in the therapeutic process thereby empowering the client. By observing a non-judgmental approach and by providing a safe and supportive environment, clients are encouraged to reawaken significant elements from their unconscious and reunite these fragments to create a more integrated and whole psyche. This reunion or awakening ordinarily leads to a more enhanced, directed, and fulfilled existence, for the client. These are some of the skills and methods I use to encourage positive transformation: |
|
- Dream-work and Imagery
- Altered states, trance and breath-work
- Examining body symptoms
- Reconnecting with primal energy, the collective Unconscious, the Id, Essence, Chi or Kundalini
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
- Exploring myth and archetypes
- Hypnotherapy
- Creativity and Art
|
My determination, commitment and dedication in assisting those in need of guidance are sincere and unfaltering. I hope to be able to help you enhance your interpersonal relationships, as well as deepen your self-awareness, sense of achievement and fulfillment. My specific strengths and interests are:
- Aiding individuals reconnect with their spirit, source, life mission and purpose
- Couples counseling, relationships and effective communication
- Women’s issues: self-esteem, body image, anxiety, loneliness, and life changes, expressing anger and dealing with betrayal and trust
- Processing loss, grief and transition
- Enhancing life, personal effectiveness and eliminating maladaptive behaviors
- Parent-child relationships, conflict resolution, teen separation and anxiety
- Families dealing with adoption
- Welcoming all cultural, ethnic and sexual expressions
